Overview
This is a critical opportunity to drive Operational Excellence across Technical Operations in a highly regulated biotech environment. Reporting to the Global Operational Excellence leader, the selected candidate will spearhead lean management deployment over a three-year plan, focusing on supply chain, quality, and technical services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead deployment of the Daily Management System across U.S. operations, ensuring strategy translates into measurable improvements.
  • Partner with European Lean counterparts on complex efforts including Lean Labs, Value Stream Management, and multi-week diagnostic initiatives.
  • Launch and oversee at least one high-value initiative annually, delivering quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, engaging both executives and front-line teams to build trust and alignment.
  • Proactively step into enterprise-level opportunities and priorities, offering leadership or support where needed.
  • Develop proficiencies in facilitation, Lean practices, Six Sigma, agility, and innovation to ensure long- term sustainability of OE initiatives.

Candidate Profile
  • 10+ years of experience in biopharma, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Bachelor's degree required (any discipline).
  • Strong background in Lean Six Sigma and OE methodologies (Black Belt, Lean Leader, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success implementing and sustaining management systems at the site, regional, or functional level.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and industry regulations preferred.
  • Skilled change leader with the ability to shift culture and behaviors in complex organizations.
  • Strong communicator and facilitator; comfortable leading workshops and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Personal traits: humble, flexible, self-starter, and able to influence both front-line staff and senior leaders.

Other Job Details
Hybrid role (2-4 days onsite per week in Novato, CA).
International travel may be required, up to 20%.
