Hybrid vs. Remote Approach:

We believe the magic of Miter comes from working side by side. We also believe in work flexibility. For roles that are listed as hybrid, our approach isthree to four days a week in the officegiving us the chance to connect, brainstorm, and build stronger relationships. If you live within a reasonable commute to either our New York City or San Francisco offices, we ask that you work in our hybrid approach.

Otherwise, for roles listed as remote or in other cities where we don't have an office location, there is no requirement to work in our hybrid approach. We do travel a few times a year for onboarding, company wide, and team specific offsites!

About the Team & How We Work:

Miter helps construction and field service contractors build great teams, manage regulatory complexity, and build with confidence. Were a small, fast-moving team that cares deeply about clarity, execution, and customer results. We believe finance should be a strategic edge: clear visibility into where were winning, where were burning, and how to scale responsibly.

Youll join Miters leadership team to build Miters financial foundation from forecasting and systems to board reporting and fundraising readiness. This is a hands?on role with a long runway: as the company grows, this role will have the opportunity to hire a team and grow into an executive leader at Miter.

What Youll Do:

• Own Miters financial model end-to-end forecast revenue, headcount, and burn with clarity and speed.




• Partner with GTM, Ops, G&A, and Product to translate plans into budgets, goals, headcount planning, and measurable outcomes.




• Lead monthly reporting and board prep: track KPIs, cash, and ARR with rigor.




• Build scalable systems across accounting, billing, and reporting from QuickBooks to the next layer.




• Support future fundraising and strategic finance efforts as Miter continues to grow.

What Youll Need:

• 2+ years in banking, consulting, private equity, or venture capital, and 38+ years in a high?growth startup owning forecasts, systems, and core finance operations.




• Proven ability to build and operate financial models that drive decisions, not just reports.




• Comfort diving deep into systems and automating financial operations and workflows.




• Clear, concise communication you make complex numbers simple and actionable.




• A bias for ownership, iteration, and teamwork youd rather get it right than make it look fancy.
