Description:

As an Autonomous Shuttle Attendant, you'll be the friendly, safety-focused face of our cutting-edge autonomous ride-hailing service. Your role is to ensure a seamless, comfortable, and safe experience for every passenger-from greeting riders and verifying credentials to managing vehicle hailing and communicating service updates.

You'll be at the intersection of technology and human connection, supporting a next-generation mobility experience while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.

What You'll Do

  • Champion Safety and Communication: Promote a safety-first culture while maintaining open communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Experiences: Greet riders warmly, provide clear guidance, and ensure each interaction reflects empathy and professionalism.
  • Authenticate Access: Verify passengers using badge scanners and ensure authorized entry.
  • Coordinate Shuttle Operations: Hail company vehicles and facilitate smooth pick-up and drop-off experiences.
  • Collaborate in Real Time: Communicate with operations teams via Slack channels to coordinate vehicle and passenger needs.
  • Manage Crowds with Care: Provide light crowd control and clear service updates, maintaining calm and order during busy periods or service disruptions.
  • Respond Confidently to Disruptions: Support passengers with next steps during emergencies or interruptions, ensuring safety and reassurance.

Requirements
What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, retail, or transportation).
  • Exceptional communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Calm under pressure - able to handle high-stress or dynamic situations with professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow safety and service protocols accurately.
  • Tech-savvy and proactive, comfortable with tools like Slack and digital authentication systems.
  • Physical readiness to stand or walk for extended periods and lift moderate loads.

Benefits

Pay Rate: $24 per hour

Current Shifts Available:
  • Sunday-Thursday, 11:30AM-8PM
  • Friday-Tuesday, 7:00AM-3:30PM

Shift Flexibility:
  • Initial assignments may be Monday-Friday, but weekend availability will be required in the near future.
  • Schedules may shift based on business needs, including supporting weekend rider operations in Foster City.
