About Us
The convergence of laboratory automation, high-throughput assays, and machine learning is rapidly moving biological discovery onto silicon. We are building a platform to store, visualize, and analyze the next generation of scientific insights. Teams at pharmaceutical, biotech, and solution provider companies trust and rely on our technology to enhance, inform, and deliver their products.
We are a small, fast‑growing team with over four years of experience building and selling tech in a skeptical market. Our customers have broad product expectations, require close collaboration and nuanced communication, and routinely execute computational tasks involving multiple terabytes of data. In the past year, we have more than tripled our revenue and are on track toward $50 million ARR in the next three years.
Core product offerings include:
- Distributed file‑system with metadata on Postgres and blobs on S3 (web UI, FUSE driver)
- Workflow orchestrator based on Kubernetes
- Interactive on‑demand compute instances (Kubernetes containers)
- Statically‑typed tabular data storage engine
- Reactive Python‑based web application framework for data analysis and visualization
- Upcoming: cluster orchestrator and workflow engine accepting compute nodes from anywhere on the internet
About the Role
We are looking for a Product/Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of five engineers. You will tackle problems in software across web development, systems programming, database administration, and cloud infrastructure. Engineers have enormous responsibility and creative freedom over design and implementation of features that immediately impact hundreds of scientists' daily workflows. You will work directly with end users to rapidly fix issues and continuously refine our product.
Fit Indicators
- Interest in computer systems and their inner workings (compilers, operating systems, databases, distributed systems, programming language theory)
- Desire to do “the right thing” in all situations—write good code, make people happy, ship just‑right: not too soon, not too late
- Ability to see and pursue art and craft in software engineering
- Preference for inter‑personal connection over a strictly regimented process
- Flexibility in methods and areas of work
