Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Interim Director of Finance and Accountant Lead, this position independently prepares and reviews general ledger (G/L) entries, analyzes and reconciles payroll and benefit accounts, and performs G/L account reconciliations. Responsibilities also include coordinating with UCorp HR for payroll processing, reconciling bank statements, preparing deposits, and supporting year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly and year-end journals, assist with audit schedules.
2. Perform bank reconciliations and analyze accounts.
3. Reconcile payroll and prepare related accruals and journal entries.
4. Manage revenue and project-related accounting entries.
5. Coordinate payroll data with HR and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
6. Process payments, prepare deposits, and handle wire transfers.
7. Reconcile tax filings and payroll-related G/L accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP, office procedures, and financial systems.
• Four years of professional accounting experience or equivalent.
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, and technical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of non-profit and governmental accounting (FASB, GASB).
• Experience with audits, journal entries, and software like ADP and PeopleSoft.
• Three years of payroll processing experience.

Additional Information

This is a one-year probationary, full-time position with a salary range of $5,750 - $6,166 per month. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave. The role requires a background check and proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
