The Accountant (General & Cost Accounting) is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing detailed cost analysis to support operational and business decisions. This role combines traditional general accounting duties with cost accounting responsibilities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. The position works cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, and Finance to analyze product costs, track manufacturing variances, and support margin improvement initiatives.
Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Preferred CPA or CMA certification.
Experience: Minimum of 57 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a cost accounting or manufacturing environment. ERP system experience required (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, BatchMaster, or equivalent). Experience with ERP implementation or process improvement is a plus.
