Overview
Walker Warner is seeking a Project Manager to join our San Francisco office on a hybrid schedule after onboarding. This is a senior-level role focused on design-led project management for high-end residential, hospitality and workplace projects.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the design in collaboration with clients, the Principal, and internal/external team members
- Act as the primary client contact, maintaining proactive communication on schedule, budget, costs and project status
- Lead and oversee development of all details and coordination with project consultants and contractors
- Lead and develop junior team members in BIM modeling and drawing set production for presentations, agency approvals and construction
- Coach and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge to increase firm-wide capabilities
- Develop and track project delivery plans, staffing, budget and schedule
- Research and specify materials, products and systems
- Attend job site meetings, oversee RFI responses, submittals and shop drawing reviews during Construction Administration
- Champion office standards (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) and participate in office programs
- Perform other duties as assigned and required
- Occasional travel to site visits, client meetings, or other project-related activities (local, regional or out-of-state as needed)
Qualifications
- Accredited degree in architecture
- Ten or more years of related professional experience, including design, technical work and project management
- California State Architect's license preferred
- Thorough knowledge of technical issues, design and techniques in Type V construction
- Experience on high-end custom residential, hospitality, and workplace projects
- Demonstrated 3D modeling/BIM proficiency (ArchiCAD preferred, but not required)
- Proven ability to lead and develop team members
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
Compensation and Benefits
Walker Warner offers a competitive compensation package including fully paid health benefits for employees, profit sharing, employer 401(k) contribution, generous paid time-off and flexible spending accounts, and more. The annual salary range is $137,000 – $155,000, with final offer determined by education, skills and experience.
