About the role

At Publica, engineers have a unique opportunity to work on a platform that handles billions of requests per hour in one of the fastest growing areas in Ad Tech : Connected Television. Engineers at Publica work in an environment where trust and responsibility are given and engineers take projects from design to production across the full stack - from the frontend load balancers, servers running our platforms, data warehousing and user interface for clients.

We are looking for a Fullstack Senior Software Engineer to be a part of our CTV product team. As a member of the engineering team, you will work towards specific outcomes with the freedom and responsibility to figure out the best way to achieve them together with the other engineers and product team members.

You will primarily use Golang, Javascript and React to develop on our platform, and should be willing and able to learn and contribute across the stack. Engineers on our team tackle a variety of technical challenges that require them to continuously learn new technologies and techniques in collaboration with other engineers and product team members.

Responsibilities

Note: Responsibilities are described in the role overview and within the team context. The position involves contributing to the design, development, and delivery of the platform across full stack (frontend, backend, data, and client interfaces) and collaborating with product and engineering teammates to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as a software engineer
• 2+ year of experience with real-time programming, concurrency and parallelism with a language like Golang, Java, Rust or C / C++
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
• Willing to work in San Francisco (hybrid work schedule), we are not open to relocation
• Experience contributing to technical architecture discussions and helping drive technical decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience explaining technical concepts and communicating clearly in cross-functional teams
• A positive attitude towards taking responsibility, learning new tools and technologies, and making immediate contributions to the product

Bonus points for candidates with :

• Experience building automated test suites
• Experience with Machine Learning
• Experience with infrastructure and basic DevOps (we use Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Docker)

California Applicants : The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000. Actual pay may vary based on experience.
