Overview
Visa Direct is an exciting, new payment service that Visa provides to clients to facilitate domestic and cross-border fund transfers and disbursements to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, cross-border remittances, funds disbursement, and other use cases such as marketplace payouts and gig economy services.
This is a client-facing, hybrid role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Manager, Account Management will drive and execute approved go-to-market strategies to achieve budgeted transaction and revenue targets, support growth initiatives, and manage day-to-day account activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and collaborative, with strong program management and communication skills. Travel and in-office presence vary by department needs.
Responsibilities
- Support account transaction and revenue annual plan for Visa Direct for assigned accounts
- Track actual transaction and revenue to plan; identify upside or downside opportunities
- Identify growth opportunities; develop client pitch materials and pro-forma business cases
- Develop and manage strategies for performance acceleration (e.g., high-potential use cases, bank client sell-thru, marketing strategies, growth opportunities such as new endpoints or corridor expansions)
- Contribute to client account plans to achieve financial targets and strategic priorities across products (e.g., direct to card, account and wallet, AFTs, VAS)
- Program manage implementation of strategic account priorities including up-sell, cross-sell endpoints, routes or corridors, use cases, and VAS across primary and extended client lines of business
- Manage and support clients through the sales cycle from opportunity identification to program launch, ramp, and optimization
- Track progress and report on outcomes
- Establish a trusted relationship with the client to understand their strategy and coordinate with internal Visa and Visa Direct stakeholders
- Collaborate with client Account Executives to achieve annual plan
- Partner with Visa Direct Product to develop go-to-market strategy and validate value proposition and product constructs
- Identify and raise product feature enhancements
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure client-facing materials support learning and launch
- Coordinate with Finance and Leadership on forecasting and monthly/quarterly reporting
- Work with Legal to ensure client contracts support successful outcomes for Visa and clients
- Coordinate with Client Services to monitor production issues as needed
- Collaborate with NA Visa Direct Leadership to share progress and growth through internal reporting and tracking of account plans and budgets
- Analyze account program performance and resolve issues quickly; investigate and manage performance
- Analyze dashboards to identify trends; engage product and client services SMEs as needed
- Optimize client transaction yield (price and FX) and address underperforming program revenue
- Develop account plans and conduct monthly/quarterly reviews
- Lead regular review sessions with cross-functional teams to solve problems when plans stall
- Provide monthly reporting to NA Visa Direct and Market leadership
This is a hybrid position. In-office days will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD
- 4+ years of payment or money movement industry experience in commercialization, strategy, product management, or management consulting
- Creative self-starter with bias toward action and desire to develop, launch, and commercialize technology products
- Proven success in growing client account relationships in fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem-solving, listening, and communication skills; executive presence
- Ability to explain complex concepts to a broad audience
- Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to innovate and differentiate products
- Strong professionalism and leadership to build relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams
- Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and ability to coordinate across functions
- Visa or financial/payments knowledge preferred; push payments or real-time payments experience a plus

U.S. Applicants: The estimated salary range is 173,000.00 to 250,950.00 USD per year, with potential bonuses and equity. Salary varies based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
