Account Manager Technical Sales 3D Manufacturing Solutions Silicon Valley
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager, Technical Sales to work out of a home office and be based around the San Jose, Fremont, San Francisco and Palo Alto, California area. You will be responsible for growing market share throughout the manufacturing sector, focused on FARO's 3D Metrology portfolio. Relocation is not available for this position.

FARO is an imaging company and an imagining company. We help customers make better decisions faster and more accurately through digital 3D measurement technologies. We work with major companies across industries, including aerospace, automotive, construction and public safety, providing scanning and measurement solutions.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales revenues by performing product demonstrations at customer sites or via web-based demos.
- Evaluate customer requirements including installation location, mounting requirements, customer engineering drawings, CAD data, GD&T and inspection plans.
- Identify additional sales opportunities outside traditional channels.
- Leverage all available resources (sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, Applications Engineers, marketing, etc.) to advance and close sales.
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate ideas for opportunities, processes and systems.
- Provide feedback to FARO R&D for product improvement.
- Act as the technical point of contact and provide support to potential customers during the evaluation period.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven success in sales of capital equipment/industrial sales.
- Knowledge of CAD.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Valid drivers license with an excellent driving record.
Compensation and Benefits
This position has a potential to earn a total compensation package (salary + variable) between $130,000-$200,000.
