Position Summary: The Assistant Store Director oversees daily store operations, leads and directs to achieve profitable operation of the assigned retail store. The role models company core values, drives results, and maintains a positive, engaging environment for all team members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Operational Excellence: Provide continuous improvement strategies, maintain compliance with all safety, labor, and health requirements, and achieve key metrics on a weekly basis.

  • Team Member Development: Develop succession plans for all leadership positions, recruit and coach Department Team Leaders, cultivate a culture of high performance, and retain a strong talent pipeline.

  • Leadership & Management Skills: Motivate, inspire, and engage staff; manage stress, resolve conflict, and align store operations with company strategic goals; support financial P&L, payroll, and cost control initiatives; ensure safety and zero accident compliance; oversee maintenance and facility upkeep.


Skills & Qualifications



  • 2+ years progressive operations experience managing variable sales volume.

  • Strong multi-tasking and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Proven experience managing diverse team members and resolving complex issues using sound judgment.

  • Knowledge of state and federal employment, labor, and immigration laws.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills; effective written and verbal communication; bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).


Physical Demands and Work Conditions



  • Required to sit, stand, and use hands to handle objects and tools.

  • Ability to lift to Uplift/Regional Capacity to (include specific weight).

  • Typical office and retail store environment; noise level quiet to moderate.

  • Flexible travel to all company locations as needed.
