The purpose of the Central AI organization within Atlassian is to accelerate AI innovation and development across Atlassian's products and platform. It aims to provide cohesive AI experiences and establish an Atlassian AI infrastructure for the future. The organization focuses on building horizontal AI capabilities and infrastructure that can be leveraged across various products.
Additionally, Central AI is responsible for developing centralized Search, Q&A, and Conversational AI across all Atlassian products which form the basis for Atlassian's Rovo AI product offering, as well as exploring integration with AI products outside Atlassian
As we scale our AI-powered chat experiences for Atlassian Rovo we are looking to accelerate both the building of deep first-party (1P) agents across our products as well as enable our customers to build their own AI powered agents customised to their workflows.

Compensation Skills At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $239,400 – $312,550
Zone B: $216,000 – $282,000
Zone C: $198,900 – $259,675
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
