Provides direct assistance and support to the technologist and to the department the Hospital Assistant III is assigned. As an integral part of the imaging team, assist and support the department assigned, to include the following: Prepare patient for exam, review screening forms and change patient. Assist technologist in room turnover, cleaning and set-up of equipment. Provide transportation for inpatients and/or outpatients to and from the department of radiology. Ensure that all IVs or other patient equipment is safely transported. Provide interdepartmental communications regarding patients status. Assist technologist in positioning patient onto to the imaging table. Auditing and distribution of supplies and linen Transport of equipment or lab specimens when required. Heightening awareness and practice of department safety policies including MR and radiation safety. The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required.
