Base pay range: $76,700 - $115,400 annually.
UC Berkeley is seeking an Assistant/Associate Project Scientist to support research on clean power system transition in China under Dr. Jiang Lin. The role involves modeling and analysis to develop pathways, assess market reforms, and evaluate economic, environmental, and health impacts.
The UC academic salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step. Off?scale salaries may be offered to meet competitive conditions.
Responsible for conducting research, using quantitative methods to develop clean?transition pathways for Chinas power system, and evaluating economic, health, and social impacts. Tasks include literature review, data collection for modeling parameters, preparing scientific reports, participating in peer?reviewed publications, and communicating findings. Travel up to 15% for field research and presentations.
