Substitute Teacher

Overview of Responsibilities

Substitute Teachers will serve students in all grades K through 8. Substitute Teachers will be asked to teach or support in various grades and subjects where needed. This role reports to the Substitute Coordinator and responsibilities will include the following:

• Leading instruction across various grade levels as needed (either grades K-4 or grades 5-8).
• Executing the teacher's lesson plans and reporting back to the teacher any concerns or issues from the day.
• Social emotional learning support for students and managing student and classroom behavior.
• Assisting with various duties and providing support for teachers and students as needed.
• Accompanying students and attending some specialist classes, as needed.
• Providing short-term coverage for Lead Teachers or Assistant Teachers, as needed.

Compensation: $200 daily rate for a full day above 4.25 hours. $26.67 per hour if working under 4 hours/day.
