We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Market Engagement & Sales Specialist to drive host acquisition, community engagement, and sales strategies in local markets.
The role requires a scrappy, self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced environment, engage with hosts, and develop scalable outreach processes.
Requirement/Must Have:
3 5 years of relevant experience in customer success, outbound sales, community engagement, or grassroots field operations.
Proven experience in outbound sales or grassroots operations with a track record of successful cold outreach and business development.
Startup experience, comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited resources.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities.
Strong communication skills voice, written, and digital with a positive and authentic tone.
Passion for hospitality, real estate, or similar industries.
Empathy for small business owners, hosts, or side hustlers.
Ability to quickly learn and understand local communities.
Experience:
Experience building or executing sales strategies for multi-sided marketplaces or direct-to-consumer businesses.
Demonstrated ability to engage with communities through in-person and digital channels.
Familiarity with real estate, hospitality, or similar / adjacent industries is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market visits and on-the-ground assessments to evaluate listings, benchmark competitors, and provide actionable insights for strategic planning.
Execute cold outreach to prospective and churned hosts; develop and iterate on sales strategies, pitches, and scalable playbooks.
Participate in neighborhood-level social groups, digital forums, and local communities to identify and engage potential hosts and influencers.
Foster relationships with industry professionals, organizers, and local leaders to identify high-leverage opportunities.
Experiment with new strategies and rapidly prototype tactics and operational processes.
Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to test pitches and refine messaging based on real-time feedback.
Qualification And Education:
3 5 years of relevant experience in sales, community engagement, or related fields.
Experience in startup, fast-paced, or growth-focused environments.
