Alameda, CA (Fully Onsite)
$125K-$135K Base + Strong Equity Upside
Inventory, Shipping, Production Control | Regulated Industry | Startup Recovery
We're working with a California-based company that's rebuilding fast after a major transition, and they're looking for a Logistics Manager to take full ownership of their inventory and production logistics.
This isn't just about managing stock or moving boxes. They're looking for someone who can step in, build real systems, and drive improvements from end to end. If you enjoy bringing structure to chaos, and making operations run like clockwork, you'll be in your element here.
The team is small, the environment is imperfect, and there's a lot of autonomy on offer. You'll work directly with engineering and production leads to create clear workflows, track key metrics, and actually fix the problems you spot, not just flag them for someone else.
There's also potential to manage one or two specialists, though this is still being finalized.
Own inventory, logistics, and production control workflows from start to finish
Set up a working cycle count program, inventory dashboards, and KPI tracking
Spot issues, propose solutions, and run mini-projects to fix them
Improve day-to-day operations across receiving, kitting, shipping, and storage
Help clean up legacy inventory, revamp the storage setup, and increase kit completeness
Possibly manage a small team of logistics specialists (to be confirmed)
Early to mid-career candidates who've grown with a business before
Experience in a startup or fast-moving production environment
Hands-on logistics and inventory experience (not just behind a desk)
Comfortable working in regulated industries like aerospace, medical devices, or defense
Confident using ERP systems and tracking accuracy through data
Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and a drive to improve messy systems
This role would suit someone who's worked as a Logistics Lead, Inventory Supervisor, Production Control Manager, or a senior specialist ready to step up.
Real Ownership: This is your domain to run. You'll be trusted to take initiative.
Not a Cog in the Machine: Your decisions will be seen and felt across the company.
Cool Factor: You'll be working on high-tech hardware for real aerospace and space programs.
Equity Upside: The company recently went private at a low valuation, meaning new equity grants come with serious upside potential if they execute well.
Fast-Paced but Purposeful: Yes, it's a bit scrappy right now, but there's direction and you can be part of rebuilding something important.
This is a great fit for someone who's excited about working in a hands-on logistics role with real ownership, in a company that's turning the corner and growing again.
