Location: U.S. remote (travel 1–2x/year to CA); Preference for Bay Area or West Coast but open

We're hiring a Director of Inside Sales to stabilize, sharpen, and build a machine that wins every day.
The Opportunity
As Director of Inside Sales, you will lead a~12-personinside sales organization to support our Residential clients. You'll report to theVP of Salesand partner closely with theDirector ofCommercial Sales, East/West Showroom Managers, andLearning & Development. Your mandate:lead people, hit the number,andmake the system better—without losing the soul of our brand.
What You'll Do
- Own the Inside Sales org: Lead, coach, and develop a tenured team; set clear goals and raise the bar.
- Hit and exceed targets: Drive bookings, conversion, and rep productivity with relentless attention to KPIs.
- Operationalize the sell: Standardize lead→quote→close using Fireclay's GANAS Selling Methodology and Account Based Selling (ABS) frameworks; ensure excellent lead handling, follow-up, and close quality.
- Build bench & hire well: Recruit, onboard, and grow leaders; ensure the right people are in the right roles.
- Upgrade workflows & tools: Partner with Marketing and Technology to improve Salesforce, Front (sales email), and Dialpad (telephony); champion AI-enabled selling and automation.
- Set communication standards: Raise the bar on email, video, and phone excellence; coach the craft daily.
What Success Looks Like (0–6 Months)
- Team stability and energy are up; weekly 1:1s, daily huddles, and scorecards are working.
- Conversion improves across stages; quote turnaround time and follow-up SLAs are tighter.
- CRM hygiene is excellent; pipeline visibility and forecast accuracy improve.
- Hiring complete; a credible leadership bench exists beneath you.
- Inside Sales process is standardized across Residential.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in Inside Sales with multi-rep leadership (SDR/AM/Inside) and a track record of scaling.
- Mastery of process, coaching, and KPIs—you build dashboards and behavior.
- Fluency with Salesforce, Front, Dialpad and other best-in-class sales tools; you love AI and automation for real productivity gains.
- Experience in design-adjacent categories (furniture, materials, lighting), high-AOV B2B, or SaaS environments.
- Culture builder with GANAS—you set a high bar with honesty, kindness, and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; exceptional experience stands on its own.
