Overview

Electrical Engineer I at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) San Francisco office, Summer 2026. AEI designs systems and environments to advance society and improve lives, with expertise across healthcare, science and technology, energy, and education sectors.

AEI collaborates across disciplines to deliver innovative engineering solutions that support mission-driven work for clients including Mayo Clinic and U.S. agencies, and partners with leading organizations to drive environmental progress.

Responsibilities

  • Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, and select equipment.
  • Complete field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
  • As you gain project experience, lead electrical project teams, write specifications, participate in client and consultant meetings, and support construction-phase activities.

Qualifications

  • BSEE/BSAE from ABET-accredited school.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Non-academic internship.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
  • EIT certification (passed the FE exam) a plus.
  • Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000.
