We are currently seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support our forensic operations in Northern California. In this position, you will apply your technical knowledge to assess, and ultimately determine the origin and cause of, complex and unique problems in all aspects of the built environment. This will include project types such as single and multifamily residences; commercial and public buildings; roadways; dams; bridges; airports; pipelines; and railways.
This position is all about problem-solving on your schedule! You will determine your own schedule based on workflow, client needs, and commitments.

The Salary Range for this position is $125,000 - $180,000 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.
Physical Demands, Overtime, and Travel Requirements
Physical Demands - Work is performed both in an office setting and at outside locations (i.e. Clients office, industrial, construction, and/or residential sites). The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on slope roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, climb inside attics and crawl under homes and tunnels, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to job sites. Employees may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting site inspections, speaking and interacting with clients, preparing written reports of findings, and testifying in deposition or trial. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary.
Overtime - This position is classified as salaried with an exempt FLSA status. Regular working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with one hour for lunch. There will be periods where overtime will be required, which the employee will need to comply with in order to meet the demands of the position.
Travel Requirements - This position requires up to 25% travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be required.
