Are you a passionate healthcare professional with a strong desire to educate and inspire the next generation of nursing assistants? Irish Help at Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Assistant, Home Health Aides and Caregivers.

Irish Help at Home is a non-medical home care agency looking for caregivers to assist in the daily care of elderly individuals in their homes in San Francisco and northern San Mateo County.

We have part-time and full-time positions available offering day and night shifts.

Our goal is to match caregivers with clients who are both convenient to your home and a good personal match.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in personal care or other related fields is preferred
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities.
• Communicate ongoing care results and updates to relevant parties.
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment.
• Provide in-home care and assistance.
• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Administer prescribed medication and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Assist with medical appointments and transportation.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to pass fingerprint based Federal, State, and County background checks
• Current California State Driver's License or ID
• Social Security Card or Workers permit
• Current negative TB test (within 24 months)
• Covid-19 vaccination record
• Two client references with telephone numbers
• Registration with the CA Home Care Aide Registry (we can assist!)
• Experience working as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of medical records management and documentation
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals and accommodate dietary restrictions
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals with clients.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.
  
  

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedules:

• 12 hour shift
• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday + Weekend shifts available
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• HCA number from the California Department of Social Services (Required)
