Founding Software Engineer – Voice AI Startup

Redwood City, CA – 5 days/week

We are building a voice AI platform with a fast‑growing team of engineers and founders from Meta and Google. We have achieved strong revenue within 12 months and are hiring 5 engineers to scale to 25 employees next year.

Compensation: up to $300k salary plus roughly 1% equity.

Job responsibilities

• Own backend engineering: design scalable solutions and ship features for a production‑ready voice agent platform.
• Lead initiatives across backend, frontend, and infrastructure with opportunities for high ownership and growth.
• Collaborate closely with designers and other engineers throughout the design and implementation phases.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to work 50‑60 hours/week.
• Programming language agnostic; willing to learn and use new technologies.
• Experience in fast‑growing startups or top tech companies.
• Strong technical skills in at least one of: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, C++, Java, C#, Go, Ruby, C, PHP.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a highly ranked university.
• Experience building AI products.
