Head of Marketing, Insurance Industry

Total Salary Compensation $300K+

Our client is an insurance carrier, who is looking for an experienced insurance marketing executive to spearhead their aggressive growth plans.

Duties Include:

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual and long-term marketing strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and growth ambitions.
• Identify and analyze market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activities in the insurance industry to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage and control the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
• Implementation of traditional and digital marketing channels, with an emphasis on the unique regulatory environment and customer needs within the insurance sector.
• Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social media, print, events, direct mail) to generate leads and support sales objectives.
• Drive digital marketing strategy, including website management, email marketing, and content marketing, with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales enablement materials and support business development initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a smaller, but high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Underwriting, Product Development, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing alignment with all business functions.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners.

Candidate Should Possess:

• 10 years+ of marketing management experience gained within the insurance sector (carrier or broker)
• Ability to travel and work in the office (must be living in the San Diego, Los Angeles or San Francisco area)
• Proven strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a track record of driving business growth.
• Deep understanding of digital marketing, performance marketing, and branding.
• Strong written, presentation and verbal skills
• Comfortable to travel away from home and work in an office
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in marketing technology platforms
• Familiarity with the regulatory environment governing insurance marketing.
