100% Onsite (Oakland General Office). The Worker may register a personal laptop via the BYOD program. Office equipment (monitors, keyboard, mouse) available onsite; home equipment is non‑reimbursable. In‑person travel to the office is not reimbursed. PPE (excluding boots) can be purchased once and reimbursed.

Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the single point of contact for complex, multi‑year energy infrastructure projects including electric transmission tower builds and substation ground‑up construction. This highly visible role demands mastery of utility project management, from risk mitigation to stakeholder presentations. You'll oversee projects that include EPC contracts, formal partnering agreements, and require seasoned knowledge of permitting, land acquisition, and cross‑functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all project phases across electric transmission and substation builds
- Lead project risk management, contract negotiations, and project sponsor engagement
- Administer EPC contracts in compliance with internal procedures
- Make presentations to executive officers and manage internal stakeholder relationships
- Mentor junior project managers and promote company‑wide best practices
- Coordinate with Engineering, Permitting, Construction, and third‑party firms
- Support site visits, job walks, and on‑site collaboration (up to 50% travel)
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking using SAP, Primavera P6, and Unifier
Required Experience
- 10+ years in utility or energy project management
- Strong knowledge of electric transmission and substation builds
- EPC contract administration
- CPUC, land acquisition, and environmental permitting experience
- High‑level stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
- Prior work with California utilities or regulatory bodies
- Experience making executive presentations
- Previous mentoring or coaching of junior PMs
Required Skills
