Senior Firmware Engineer – San Mateo, CA

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer in San Mateo, CA to develop software and hardware test infrastructure to support detailed testing and rapid iteration. Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience designing and developing embedded systems from proof of concept to manufacturing, including Proto, EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.

• Develop asynchronous firmware drivers for ARM microcontrollers.
• Develop low power wireless systems for Wi‑Fi commissioning and mapping applications.
• Develop CI/CD build pipelines for automatic build, firmware upgrades, and tests by integrating Jenkins, Git, and Slack platforms.
• Evaluate alternative device platforms to ensure support of feature sets and compatibility with existing system.
• Define and develop manufacturing test software.
• Participate in the full development cycle for product shipping.

Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. Sony is an EOE.

Salary range: $231,340.00 - $289,900.00/year
