Job Summary

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of technology services for Property & Casualty (P&C) carriers. This customer-facing role focuses on implementing AI-powered solutions, configuring our platform with Python, MySQL, and automation tools, and translating business needs into technical outcomes.

Location

This is a fully remote role; however candidates must be located in the US.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with customers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Configure and extend our platform using Python and MySQL to deliver AI-powered functionality.
  • Partner with product management to launch secure, user-friendly features that integrate intelligent automation and complex logic.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, manage expectations, and drive on-time delivery.
  • Thrive in an Agile environment with Scrum, automated testing, continuous integration, code reviews, and version control.
  • Deliver on-time projects based on the defined Statement of Work and communicate progress effectively with customers.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of unit tests to ensure accuracy and system integrity.
  • Leverage AI throughout the implementation process to optimize workflows, automate complex tasks, and improve customer outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python web development.
  • 3+ years of SaaS product development experience, including cloud-based solutions.
  • 3+ years of professional experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
  • 3+ years of experience with Django or another Python framework.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • 2+ years of proven experience building and consuming APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the Property & Casualty (P&C) space.
  • Hands‑on experience using AI‑enhanced IDEs (e.g., Cursor, VS Code) to accelerate delivery, simplify workflows, and focus on high‑value problem solving.
  • Professional experience working with Docker for containerization and AWS services such as EC2, API Gateway, and Lambda.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Bonus Points

  • 2+ years of experience working at a scaling startup.
  • Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., AutoGen, LangGraph, CrewAI).
