What You Will Do
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing the company's infrastructure to meet the demands of rapid growth and enterprise-grade reliability. You'll work on complex and high-impact problems that sit at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and distributed systems.
- Scale infrastructure and deployments to handle hundreds of thousands of patients with high reliability and low latency.
- Lead strategic infrastructure investments balancing scalability, maintainability, and speed of delivery.
- Design and implement core data systems — including data transformation, warehousing, and integration with external health information networks.
- Improve developer velocity by building tools, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks.
- Drive reliability, monitoring, and on-call excellence while maintaining healthcare-grade security standards (HIPAA, SOC2).
Example projects might include:
- Optimizing Kubernetes clusters for large-scale workloads.
- Migrating queue-based systems (e.g., SQS) to Temporal.
- Reimagining release and QA workflows to accelerate production deployments.
- Designing multi-tenant isolation and row-level encryption strategies for enterprise clients.
Ideal Candidate Background
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering within high-growth environments (startups or scale-ups preferred).
- Proven track record of scaling production systems and owning mission-critical infrastructure.
- Deep technical expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS (GCP also acceptable).
- Hands-on experience with Postgres, Redis, Node.js, and SQL is a strong plus.
- Strong computer science fundamentals — ideally with a degree in Computer Science or related field from a top university.
- Highly collaborative, low-ego, and mission-driven.
- Excellent communication skills; able to articulate technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions clearly.
Preferred
- Prior experience in healthcare technology, especially with HIPAA-compliant systems.
- Open-source contributions or strong technical community engagement.
- Experience as a primary infrastructure owner in a fast-scaling environment.

- Base Salary: $160,000 – $225,000 USD
