This role is responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing the technology platforms that power our worldwide supply chain, fulfillment, transportation, and last-mile delivery networks. The role can be remote or hybrid based out of our San Francisco office.Reporting directly to the **SVP, Global Distribution & Logistics**, the head of engineering will partner cross-functionally to deliver transformative solutions. This role plays a critical part in enabling our **Global Commercial Teams** to achieve long-range growth plans through reliable, scalable, and intelligent logistics capabilities.**About the Job**Strategic Engineering Leadership* Develop and execute the **global engineering strategy and roadmap** for distribution and logistics, aligned with corporate objectives and long-range planning* Serve as **implementation lead** for large-scale distribution & logistics initiatives, including network expansion, building upgrades, warehouse management systems & other enabling technologies, and new capabilities* Provie **oversight of continuous improvement and process excellence** for the LS&Co. distribution network* Serve as the **technology lead** for strategic partnerships, platform integrations, and vendor negotiations* **Define and deploy best practices** across regions and markets from an engineering and process excellence standpointsCommercial Enablement* Collaborate closely with **Global Commercial Teams** to ensure engineering solutions directly support market expansion, revenue growth, and customer delivery expectations.* Translate commercial goals into **scalable logistics capabilities** that enhance speed-to-market, service reliability, and cost efficiency.* Support long-range planning by providing engineering insights into capacity modeling, infrastructure investment, and global scalability.Engineering Execution* Establish and lead the execution of best-in-class engineering standards, and development methodologies across markets.Cross-Functional Collaboration* Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Technology leadership to align engineering deliverables with business KPIs.* Influence logistics strategy through **data-driven insights**, simulation modeling, and scenario planning.* Ensure engineering initiatives are tightly integrated with commercial and operational priorities.* Lead integration efforts with third-party providers, carriers, and vendor systems.Talent & Culture* Build and mentor a **high-performing global engineering organization** across Global key markets.* Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.**About You**Required* 15+ years of engineering leadership experience within apparel retail, wholesale & e-commerce.* Proven success in building and scaling logistics platforms across multi-region and country high-volume environments.* Deep expertise in supply chain technology stack (WMS, TMS, OMS, inventory management systems), distributed systems, and enterprise architecture.* Deep understanding and experience with financial modeling and business case creation* Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex strategies clearly.Preferred* Experience in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, and/or 3PL environments.* Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.* Familiarity with international logistics regulations and compliance frameworks.*The expected starting salary range for this role is (($xx,xxx- $xx,xxx)) per year**.**We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role.
