About The Role
Our client is building the “world's sell anything platform,” enabling entrepreneurs and marketing teams to instantly build, test, and grow online businesses and campaigns. Think of them as the GTM (Go-to-Market) platform for entrepreneurs, with customers including major brands (like Tums). The company has raised over $8.4 million from investors like Figma, YCombinator, and Vercel, and has achieved Series A/B metrics on a seed‑stage cap table.
Things You'll Be Working On
- System Architecture: Architecting and implementing critical backend systems primarily in TypeScript/Node
- High-Scale Data Pipelines: Designing and building the ingestion pipeline for their analytics/insights products, ensuring ≥99.99% uptime (utilizing Kafka, ClickHouse, and Redis)
- Ecommerce Infrastructure: Building out durable and distributed cart/hosting solutions for their core commerce product
- Modern Deployment: Deploying a multi-tenant NextJS application for shops in Cloudflare
- Stability & Best Practices: Spiking on CI/CD to improve stability and mentoring junior engineers on engineering best practices
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with production distributed systems and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Proficiency in backend development; comfort with TypeScript/Node is ideal, but we are open to engineers willing to learn the language quickly
- Deep understanding of highly available, observable systems (Sentry, Grafana, etc.)
- Must be based in the Bay Area and work in-person 3 days/week from the San Francisco office
