Founding Product Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA (This is an in-person role that can temporarily start as remote to aid in relocation. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE.)

Compensation: $100K-$200K + Equity

Our client's technology is ahead of the market and backed by visionary investors. We are seeking a Founding Product Engineer to help shape the future of their product from day one. What You'll Do

As one of our first engineering hires, you'll work closely with the founding team to bring our product to life. You'll have ownership over major technical decisions and the opportunity to shape both our engineering culture and our user experience.

• Design and develop features end-to-end across the stack (Next.js, FastAPI, Python, TypeScript)
• Create AI Agents

Translate user needs into intuitive, elegant UI/UX experiences

Integrate AI tools and APIs (no need to build models from scratch)

Collaborate closely with design, product, and founders

Own long-term technical architecture decisions

Help build a thoughtful, high-performance engineering culture

Tech Stack

• Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript or JavaScript
• Backend: Python, FastAPI
• AI/ML: Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, etc.)
• Design: A strong eye for UI/UX is a big plus

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

• Impressive technical projects/internships
• Are comfortable across the stack, or have depth in either frontend or backend
• Bring a strong academic background or rigorous self-taught experience
• Have a portfolio or GitHub showing sustained contributions to meaningful projects
• Communicate thoughtfully and collaborate well in fast-moving environments
• Are excited to work side-by-side with founders in San Francisco

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $100K-$200K, depending on experience

Equity: Up to 2% (flexible to 3% for exceptional candidates)
