Join us in creating a better world through design.**Your Role**As a Gensler **Project Architect**, your creativity and thoughtfulness will create opportunities in the authorship of engaging human experiences in the built environment. You have professional skills and technical acumen which enable your development and execution of design. In this role, you will evolve your existing strengths while growing towards a leadership role in guiding our clients to design solutions.Based in a studio of our San Francisco office, you will join a team serving clients in purpose-built environments for corporate workplace clients. Through our close partnership with clients in such active fields of development, we are able to leverage design to achieve livable cities, reductions in global warming potential, and an engaging work experience for occupants of our projects.**What You Will Do*** Engage directly with senior design leadership from early development through the implementation of design solutions* Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives* Manage project team and coordination of consultants. Lead documentation coordination with full consultant teams such as structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustic and other consultants. Research and specify materials appropriate for project execution to validate that they are the right materials based on performance criteria* Produce BIM models and construction drawings. Once the designs are developed, prepare and produce detailed Revit drawings and ensure that the client, project team and contractors can easily comprehend designs* Resolve challenging technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, technical and constructible solutions that meet all regulatory requirements. This includes developing and proposing multiple strategies and methods to innovatively approach the project's design, as well as conceiving various design approaches* Provide Mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff members* Participate in office culture and initiatives**Your Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school* Licensure required* **8+** years of experience in the profession of architectural design* Strong experience working with Revit and Rhino* Proficiency with SketchUp, 3D Max, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required* Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants* Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development* A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment* Effective communicator, collaborative and team-conscious* Experience working directly with contractors* Experience resolving complex technical and design issues* Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions* Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done* Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts* Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills* Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable.
