Job Description:
We seek a detail-oriented candidate for Process Specialist, a broad role with duties in manufacturing and quality control. The position is full-time (40 hrs/wk), day shift. Commensurate with experience, starting pay range is from $34/hour to $41/hour. The ideal applicant wishes to develop in this position for a minimum of one year, preferably longer. Roles and Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of steps in our process of manufacturing cell culture microarray (CMA) and tissue microarray (TMA) products.
• Perform and document quality control inspections of CMA and TMA products.
• Work closely with all other team members to complete production cycles, each of which can involve sustained group focus over time periods up to several months.
• Conduct all duties in accord with our Quality Management System (QMS).
• Collaborate with Chief Technical Officer on improvements to manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Monitor and manage proper functioning of process instruments.
• Manage inventory of supplies and reagents.
• General laboratory maintenance.
• Role has opportunities for growth into research and/or product development.
Qualifications:
• 2+ years working in a research or production environment.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work with great attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with team members of diverse backgrounds.
• Enthusiasm for learning new skills and fulfilling a broad, mission-critical, role.
• Experience in laboratory technique and instrumentation.
• Experience in wet-lab skills.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
