Software Dev Engineer III

Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Software Dev Engineer. In this role, you will improve and operate internal tooling to collect diverse agentic data (i.e., people completing tasks on a computer) at large scale from humans and other sources. You will work directly with Autonomy's extensive human data program. You will work across the stack to maintain, improve, and run an existing production system; collaborate with engineering and modeling teams; help set technical direction; deliver new features; and generally accelerate the data collection process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain internal tooling for large-scale human data collection
• Improve existing production systems for efficiency and scalability
• Collaborate with engineering and modeling teams to integrate requirements
• Deliver new features for tooling and automation
• Set and influence technical direction to improve data operations
• Ability to take responsibility for uptime, quality, and scalability of core systems.
• Drive new approaches to data collection and tooling effectiveness.
• Consistently meet deadlines and improve delivery velocity.
• Focus on internal and external users of the tooling to improve usability and accuracy.
• Stay engaged with emerging technologies in AI/LLMs/RL.

Qualifications Required

• 5 years of overall software engineering experience
• Full-stack web development experience (backend and frontend)
• Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL in production
• Familiarity with TypeScript and/or Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data collection systems at scale
• Knowledge of ML/AI pipelines and reinforcement learning workflows
• Prior exposure to research-focused engineering environments
