About the Role

We're seeking a Sales Specialist to support and drive business growth across Mid-West in Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO, Madison/ Milwaukee, WI locations. In this role, you'll combine your technical expertise and sales acumen to promote Cytek's innovative portfolio-including instruments, reagents, and services-while building strong customer relationships and ensuring a top-tier client experience.

What You'll Do

Sales & Business Growth

• Identify, engage, and close new opportunities within academic, clinical research, and biopharma labs
• Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic prospecting and consultative selling
• Grow and nurture relationships with existing customers to uncover new opportunities

Technical Expertise & Support

• Deliver compelling product demos and technical presentations showcasing the power of Cytek's spectral technology
• Support customers post-sale with follow-ups, training coordination, and collaboration with service and applications teams

Territory Management

• Develop and execute a strategic plan for your region to maximize growth
• Track all sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools for pipeline visibility and planning

Collaboration & Industry Representation

• Partner closely with Field Application Scientists, Engineers, and Marketing to ensure seamless customer experiences
• Represent Cytek at key industry conferences, trade shows, and regional events-before, during, and after the show

Market Insights & Reporting

• Stay ahead of trends, competitors, and customer feedback to inform strategy
• Report regularly to management with insights that drive smarter decision-making

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Prefer 7+ years of overall academic, work related, and/ or sales experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in flow cytometry and capital equipment sales experience is a plus
• Proven success managing a territory and consistently hitting or exceeding sales goals
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts with clarity and confidence
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
• Willingness and flexibility to travel 50-75% of the time

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during events and demos
• Must be able to travel by air, train, and rental car as needed
