Compensation: $125,000 - $145,000 annually + Benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm | Flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends

Job Description

The Property Care Technician is responsible for the general upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance of multiple properties in the Bay Area, ensuring that all facilities remain safe, functional, and well-presented. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and close collaboration with the Estate Manager, site managers, and household staff to support daily operations and uphold the highest property standards. This is a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance across trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance solutions.
  • Assist with furniture assembly, minor installations, and household setup tasks.
  • Support housekeeping and property staff with lifting, moving, and event setup as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized projects or repairs.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of equipment.
  • Provide regular updates and clear communication to the Estate Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the properties.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in general maintenance, facilities, or handyman roles (residential/estate experience preferred).
  • Strong hands-on technical skills across multiple trades with proven knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with technology and digital systems.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; ability to travel between properties.
  • Must be local to the Bay Area.
  • Must have excellent references and pass an in-depth background check.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Non-smokers only.
Benefits
  • Base Salary: Paid bi-weekly.
  • Paid Time Off: 120 hours annually with a carry-over cap of 210 hours.
  • Sick Pay: 72 hours annually.
