Role Summary

The Practice Manager is the operational leader of their local clinic. They set the culture for excellence in patient care and experience, ensure effective daily clinical operations of full service and satellite clinics, partner with Medical Directors and providers, and drive operational alignment and excellence. The Practice Manager is on-site, provides guidance and mentorship, and ensures the team has the tools and resources needed to deliver a world class patient experience. They collaborate with a shared services team including facilities, IT, HR, finance, and marketing to keep the clinic operating smoothly. The Practice Manager directly manages local clinical leads and administrative practice support roles.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of non-clinical and clinical day-to-day operations of the clinic, including nursing, patient navigators, medical assistants, and, where applicable, laboratory and Ambulatory Surgical Center operations in collaboration with the Medical Director and Laboratory Director
  • Create a best-in-class, patient-centered experience
  • Address patient concerns and escalations with timely, thoughtful resolutions
  • Manage center-level vendor and business associate contracts (e.g., biohazard, scrubs, cleaning, maintenance, regulatory visits)
  • Schedule and manage nursing, patient navigator, medical assistant and front desk staff, PTO and timecard approvals
  • Oversee provider schedules and templates to maximize the patient experience and ensure billing and regulatory compliance
  • Hire, coach and develop employees; conduct regular training, coaching and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with medical directors and providers on practice operations
  • Monitor and trend KPIs for practice operations
  • Develop and coordinate training programs with applicable departments
  • Develop and monitor corrective action strategies
  • Responsible for site-level P&L and budget

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS)
  • Healthcare and/or hospitality experience a plus
  • Minimum three (3) years of management experience
  • Direct experience leading large multi-role teams
  • Proven success partnering with Medical Directors and Physicians at the practice level preferred

Employment Type

This is a full-time exempt position onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 annually. This role is eligible for an annual bonus. Salary is based on factors including knowledge, experience, certifications and/or degrees.
