What You'll Do

  • Implement application modernization projects, including re-platforming, re-architecting, and refactoring of enterprise applications for AWS.
  • Build applications using microservices, event-driven architectures, and serverless-first designs leveraging AWS services such as EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Aurora, and App Runner.
  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipelines and cloud-native CI/CD workflows to accelerate application delivery.
  • Implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and ECS with best practices for scaling and resilience.
  • Modernize data layers using Aurora, DynamoDB, RDS migrations, ElastiCache, and API-driven integration patterns.
  • Ensure application designs meet enterprise-grade requirements for security, compliance, observability, and disaster recovery.
  • Work with security and governance teams to embed cloud-native security controls, identity, and compliance frameworks.
  • Stay current with AI trends in cloud-native development and contribute to proofs-of-concept that demonstrate business value from AI-enhanced applications.
  • Design and implement Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions on AWS using services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and API Gateway.
  • Build and optimize LLM-powered applications for use cases including knowledge assistants, code generation, customer service automation, and enterprise search.
  • Integrate AI-powered services into modernized applications where appropriate, such as intelligent search, content generation, or predictive analytics.
  • Architect autonomous agent workflows capable of orchestrating multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and integrations with enterprise systems.
  • Partner with DevOps and MLOps teams to integrate model training, fine-tuning, and deployment pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
  • Monitor and optimize AI model performance using tools such as SageMaker Model Monitor, CloudWatch, and custom observability frameworks.
  • Provide strategic guidance on AWS AI adoption, including cost optimization, scaling strategies, and roadmap development for AI-enabled enterprises.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in application architecture, development, or modernization.
  • 3+ years in AWS cloud modernization projects.
  • Hands-on expertise in modernizing applications using microservices, containers, and serverless architectures.
  • Experience with legacy-to-modern transformations (Java/.NET to containerized or serverless architectures).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services supporting modernization, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, App Runner, Aurora, DynamoDB, CloudFront, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of application integration patterns, APIs, and event-driven systems (SNS, SQS, Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Proficiency with DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
  • Familiarity with modern software delivery practices ( Agile, DevOps, GitOps).
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for AI workflows and integrations.
  • Experience with AWS AI/ML services such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Comprehend, Transcribe, Translate, Rekognition, and related integrations.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices for training, deployment, and lifecycle management of AI/ML models.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance in AI deployments (IAM, encryption, responsible AI, data privacy).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business conversations.

Nice To Have

  • AWS certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty
  • Experience with cloud-native development frameworks (Spring Boot, Node.js, .NET Core, Python for Lambda).
  • Familiarity with modernization accelerators such as AWS Migration Hub Refactor Spaces, App2Container, and Microservice Extractor.
  • Hands-on expertise with Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs), fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust AI security models and ethical AI frameworks.

Compensation And Benefits

We also offer yearly $350 reimbursement account for any well-being-related expenses, as well as discounted home, auto, and pet insurance. The base salary pay range is $109,000 to $148,000 for Consultant level and $125,000 to $170,000 for Senior Consultant level, with potential annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, location, and other factors.
