If you qualify for the role of Dispatch and Field Operations Coordinator you will hear from the hiring team within 1 week of your application submission. The following is an overview of our application process:

  2. Once you submit your application you will be prompted to complete the Culture Index Questionnaire - THIS IS REQUIRED. This is a series of questions that helps the hiring team learn about applicant perception, values and behaviors to help us assess if the applicant will be a good fit for the role.
  3. If you are qualified for the role and have the relevant Culture Index profile we are looking for, the hiring team will conduct an initial screening call to ensure the you fit the role requirements, qualifications and business needs.
  4. Qualified applicants that have the knowledge, skill, ability and meet the business needs will have a follow up meeting (likely in person) with the hiring manager.
  5. A final interview will be conducted with other members of the team that the role will collaborate with and where possible will include attendance of an owner or leadership team member.
  6. D-Line Constructors will also complete a reference check with prior employers prior to providing an offer of employment.


Position Description

Position Overview

Reports to - Resource Manager

The Field Operations Coordinator supports the Dispatcher/Resource Manager and field leadership by ensuring accurate, organized, and timely coordination of daily field operations. This position plays a key role in keeping crews, equipment, materials, and documentation aligned to project needs. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys solving logistical challenges. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into dispatch, project administration, or operations management within the construction industry.

Key Results

  • Seamless Field Coordination - Daily crew, equipment, and material assignments are communicated accurately and on time.
  • Reliable Recordkeeping & Communication - Operational data, logs, and updates are consistently maintained and shared with accuracy.
  • Support for Resource Planning - Assist the Resource Manager and Dispatcher and field teams with data and documentation needed to optimize resource deployment and cost efficiency.
  • Clear Weekly Reporting - Ensure Field operations metrics and updates are tracked, summarized, and shared to inform team decisions.
Key Responsibilities

Field Coordination & Logistics
  • Support daily scheduling and mobilization of field crews, equipment, and trucking in coordination with the Dispatcher and Superintendents.
  • Confirm project readiness by verifying site access, material deliveries, permits, and safety requirements.
  • Track crew and equipment movements across job sites and communicate updates promptly to field leads.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of field activity, delivery receipts, and trucking records.
Communication & Documentation

  • Support Dispatcher to serve as a communication bridge between field teams, vendors, and office staff.
  • Ensure all field coordination updates are entered into HCSS Dispatcher and related tracking systems.
  • Maintain shared calendars, schedules, and contact lists to support resource planning.
  • Assist with preparing daily and weekly field operations reports.
Vendor & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment rentals, deliveries, and trucking orders.
  • Verify truck tags, tickets, and invoices for accuracy before submission.
  • Maintain updated vendor rate sheets and service records.
  • Assist with job cost tracking, timesheet collection, and data entry.
Safety & Compliance

  • Track crew certifications, training expirations, and safety meeting attendance in collaboration with HR and the Safety team.
  • Ensure field documentation complies with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in reporting safety incidents or near-misses as directed.
Process Improvement & Technology Utilization

  • Continually improve dispatch procedures and processes to maximize efficiency.
  • Leverage technology and software solutions to streamline scheduling and tracking.
  • Assist with various dispatch duties as needed, with flexibility to adapt based on company needs.
Position Requirements

Required
  • Associate degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent field coordination experience.
  • 2+ years of administrative or field coordination experience, ideally in construction, logistics, or operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Preferred

  • Experience with HCSS Dispatcher or similar logistics software.
  • Familiarity with construction operations, equipment types, and basic job cost tracking.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, industry terminology, and labor unions.
