What You'll Do

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents: build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central to Sierra's growth and run in production environments across industries like finance, healthcare, and commerce.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC): own and autonomously manage from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration; build, tune, and evolve AI agents in production; establish ADLC best practices.
• Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: work with leaders at major enterprises to understand business challenges and transform their operations with AI agents at scale; collaborate with startups to embed agents across their business stack.
• Build the future of the platform: collaborate with customers to guide Sierra's core platform evolution, surface unmet needs, prototype tools and features, and shape the future of AI agent development.

What You'll Bring

• Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
• Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• Builder mindset with high agency — you find creative ways to overcome obstacles and ship
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems
• Excellent communication skills — clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences

Even better...

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production
• Have been a founder or founding engineer — balance craft, ownership, and speed
• Familiarity with tools powering today's AI agents: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go
• Experience interfacing with customers or leading technical projects with external stakeholders
