Overview

Vice President, Real Estate Strategy and Store Development, US and Canada — Levi Strauss & Co. leads all aspects of store-related real estate and development for the Levi's and Beyond Yoga brands. This role is responsible for creating and executing the store expansion strategy in alignment with overall business objectives, including growth through company-owned and franchised locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and execute real estate strategies aligned with company financial and growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, brokers, and internal partners.
  • Oversee U.S. and Canada real estate operations, including lease negotiations, capital projects, and pipeline management.
  • Partner with Global Real Estate and cross-functional teams (Construction, Store Design, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations) to support retail fleet growth and ensure alignment with brand standards.
  • Guide franchise real estate strategy, ensuring consistent execution, site selection quality, and adherence to brand aesthetics.
  • Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team; foster collaboration to drive organizational vision.
  • Contribute as a member of the Global Real Estate Leadership team, sharing best practices and driving innovation for sustained brand growth.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (approximately 40%) to evaluate markets, meet with partners, and represent the brand.
  • Key relationships: Store Design, Brand Environment, Procurement, Loss Prevention, Corporate Real Estate COE, and Information Technology.
  • Direct reports: Head of Real Estate Transactions, Director Development & Construction; Indirect reports: Director Real Estate Strategy and Implementation.

About You

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in retail real estate, preferably on a multinational basis, with proven success in establishing and growing a multi-billion dollar retailer's real estate portfolio.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership/management experience.
  • Travel Required: 40%–50%.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field/business administration required; Master's degree in related field/business administration preferred.

  • Expertise in specialty and outlet real estate, negotiations, and regulatory issues.
  • Excellent communication, financial, and analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Energetic, adaptable, customer-focused, and aligned with LS&Co.'s brand values.
  • Comfortable working in a matrix organization; able to balance office and in-market responsibilities.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $286,000 - $329,000 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on location, qualifications, performance, and business needs.
