This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Global Pricing Manager, New Medical Sensors you will be responsible for shaping and executing global pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, profitability and customer value. Lead critical pricing analyses, develop scalable pricing models and ensure cross-market alignment to support sustainable business growth. Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess willingness to pay and pricing corridors. Ensure adequate financial and system controls are established and maintained consistent with Abbott policies and procedures as well as generally accepted accounting principles. Develop accurate and consistent financial data and present such data in a clear and concise manner thereby enhancing the management decision making process.
What You'll Work On
Design and refine pricing models that support category growth and market access
Assess financial impact, scalability and alignment with business strategy
Partner with insights team on global research initiatives to understand customer wiliness-to-pay, demand elasticity and value perception
Translate insights into pricing recommendations and commercialization strategy
Develop and implement global pricing strategies across regions, ensuring alignment with commercial, regulatory and market access requirements
Partner with finance and marketing teams to run scenario analysis and support decision making
Develop centralized global pricing database and establish governance processes to track and control pricing changes across markets
Partner with sales, market access, finance and regional leaders to ensure alignment on pricing strategy and execution
Provide clear, data-driven pricing recommendations
Deliver concise, high impact presentations and pricing recommendations to senior leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Business economics, finance or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 9 years of related work experience
3+ years of experience in healthcare, medtech, med devices
6+ years of experience in pricing or commercial strategy, ideally within the medical device, healthcare or life sciences sectors.
Strong knowledge of pricing methodologies, elasticity modeling and value-based pricing
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing global pricing strategies
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree preferred

The base pay for this position is $112,000.00– $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
