In May of 1998 My father and Mother Steve and Sandy Ferguson opened up the Mr. Rooter Franchise serving the greater Oakland area. Mr. Rooter has been providing the Oakland area with quality workmanship, exceeding the customer's expectations and raising the bar in the service industry for over 20 years.

Today myself along with my business partner and wife own the business. We are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality workmanship.

The Plumbing Apprentice is key member of our team, helping to perform service work on all types of plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

We are looking for individuals that are enthusiastic, have a great attitude and are goal oriented.

Ideally you have prior experience in the plumbing industry, although not required, and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
Mechanical inclination is a trait we are looking for.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Help our plumbers and technicians to perform drain cleaning on draininage systems
• Help our plumbers and technicians to Perform minor to moderately complex installations and service work on plumbing systems
• Identity proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
• Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
• Help to keep the warehouse and office space clean and tidy
• Work hard at learning the skills of the trade through our apprenticeship program

Job Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to operate basic hand tools necessary for the craft
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional appearance and personality
