Overview

Field Reimbursement Manager — Avadel Pharmaceuticals. Avadel is seeking an experienced professional to be responsible for the development and direct oversight of Field Reimbursement strategy within an assigned territory, collaborating with Access teams and internal stakeholders to optimize patient access for LUMRYZ.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive Avadel's Market Access Field Reimbursement strategy across assets and functions to deliver optimal access for patients, including cross-functional communication and feedback.
  • Engage HCP office staff to educate them on RYZUP enrollment and titration processes, ensuring offices understand the workflow when a script is written.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HCP offices and work with Territory Business Managers to align on relationship development.
  • Develop educational materials to support field reimbursement efforts, including topics such as Reimbursement, Prior Authorizations, Letters of Medical Necessity, Appeals, Welcome Kits, Compliance, Persistency, Data integration with SP network, Pull-through strategies, and Payer Policy.
  • Attend Quarterly Business Reviews and implement educational programs (dinners, lunches, etc.) focused on education.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services and Channel teams; partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing on demand forecasting and distribution strategies during pre-launch and post-launch phases.
  • Support Market Access strategies in partnership with Payer Marketing, Contracting & Pricing, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Serve as the “Go To” brand leader in the field for HCP offices and address questions as they arise.
  • Educate HCP offices on REM's protocol and certification to ensure product prescribing readiness.
  • Collaborate with contracted partners and provide analytical insights to improve processes and performance, identifying key metrics at national and regional levels.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in Pharma/biotech, focused in sales or reimbursement.
  • Experience in Rare/Orphan Disease markets highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in Reimbursement and building critical relationships with office staff.
  • Proven experience with pull-through strategies and development of Field Access educational materials.
  • Launch experience directly with field access teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to measure metrics and translate data into meaningful patient impact.
  • Knowledge of Patient Services programs (e.g., Copay, Quick Start/Bridge, LMN/Appeals).
  • Credentialing requirements may apply to field roles (vaccinations, etc.); consult People & Culture if questions.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $190,000. Base pay may vary based on location and qualifications. Eligible for sales incentive plan, long-term incentives, and a company vehicle reimbursement program. Comprehensive benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K, ESPP, and generous vacation, holiday, and personal time off.
