Overview

Product Engineer role at Portola in San Francisco, CA. You will build the Tolan iOS app, working closely with design to own a substantial part of the product from prototyping through production. As you ship to production, you will talk with users and review metrics to evaluate the impact of what you have shipped and how you'll evolve it.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship iOS product features, partnering with a design team member to own a substantial part of the product from prototyping through production.
• Engage with users and review metrics to evaluate the success of shipped features and inform future iterations.

Qualifications

• Primarily work as an iOS engineer, even if you have worked on other platforms or up and down the stack.
• Have built products with complex audio/video stacks.
• Do your best work on a small team or solo.
• Know when to follow patterns and when to break them to create something new.
• Build by prototyping, iterating, and shipping; you believe it's not real until it's in users' hands.
• Have deeply integrated AI into how you work.
• Love to ship quickly and make contact with reality as often as possible.
