The Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) Community Liaison will serve as a certified CPST and injury prevention advocate to promote child passenger safety and broader pediatric injury prevention, with a special emphasis on preventing traumatic brain injury (TBI). This role will lead education efforts on car seat safety, fall prevention, bike helmet fitting, and general injury prevention practices.
The Community Liaison will increase BCH's presence in the community by organizing and delivering injury prevention events—including child passenger safety check-ups, bike rodeos, helmet fittings, and health fairs—at times and locations accessible to underserved families. The role will collaborate with the Childhood Injury Prevention Program, coalitions, schools, and community-based organizations to implement an interdisciplinary, public health approach to injury prevention.
