Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, expanding humanity's reach into the solar system. Today Astranis satellites provide dedicated, secure networks to highly-sophisticated customers across the globe—large enterprises, sovereign governments, and the US military. With five satellites on orbit and a backlog of more than $1 billion of commercial contracts, Astranis is a leading partner for buyers with stringent requirements for uptime, data security, network visibility, and customization. Astranis employs a team of 450 engineers and entrepreneurs and operates from its 153,000 sq. ft. headquarters in Northern California, USA.
As a DevOps engineer, you will be an early contributor to the growing infrastructure team to support a rapidly expanding fleet of satellites. Speed and reliability are mission-critical; you'll help ensure CI pipelines are fast and reliable so engineers can respond to issues in real time and keep spacecraft healthy and missions on track. You'll own every aspect of the development workflow, including AI assistant tools, language upgrades, build systems, pre-commit checks, and emerging projects to boost developer velocity. If you're excited by supporting spacecraft with infrastructure that's as mission-critical as the satellites themselves, this is your launchpad. This role supports both commercial and U.S. Government programs.
All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits. Base pay is a component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may include equity in the form of incentive stock options, company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, flexible PTO, 401(k), and on-site meals.
