Overview

Part-time Outdoor Programs Instructor | University of California San Francisco. Provides instruction, leadership and assistance while acting as a guide on non-credited outdoor recreational activities that include camping, hiking, backpacking, sea kayaking and stand up paddle boarding to UCSF students and staff as well as the general public with participants of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent outdoor program customer service skills.
  • Attend staff meetings and in-house training as required.
  • Annually contribute to the assessment of the program.
  • Remain current in first aid and outdoor activity skills as prescribed by supervisor.
  • Behave professionally, work as a team player and adhere to program policies.

Position details

Note: This is a limited position and ends 1 year from date of hire, with potential to renew annually.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
