Role overview
We are seeking an IT Manager to provide IT support across our 4 US-based and 2 international offices. This role is responsible for providing in-office troubleshooting, day-to-day support, and maintenance of employee endpoints and office systems (such as networking equipment, printers and Zoom), as well as contributing to projects to improve Niantic Spatial's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the Senior IT Manager and Corporate Security team, and cross-functionally to provide best-in-class technical support and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Technical support: Provide friendly and knowledgeable technical support and troubleshooting to employees, both in-office and over Zoom for laptops and mobile devices, Zoom conference rooms, office networks and VPNs, printers, etc., as well as dozens of SaaS services.
- Interdepartmental collaboration: Provide cross functional support between multiple departments to ensure internal collaboration and success of initiatives.
- Assist with companywide IT initiatives: Systemwide deployment of new software and security patches, opening of new offices, network upgrades, password rotations, and other large-scale efforts.
- Administrative changes: Implement changes with supervision to companywide enterprise software (e.g. Google Workspace, Atlassian, etc.).
- Policies and procedures: Follow internal IT policies with high attention to detail and document new procedures.
- Onboarding/offboarding: Onboard new employees and offboard exiting employees.
- IT and AV support for events: Provide IT and AV support for special events and all-hands meetings.
- In-office requirement: In-office Monday-Thursday, with Fridays and overtime for special events as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of IT support experience in a fast-paced environment serving 100+ employees with internal SLAs.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting macOS and modern computer/phone systems.
- Experience with SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, MDM tools (e.g., JAMF), Slack, Zoom, enterprise Wi-Fi, and Atlassian, plus familiarity with SAML/SSO.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration to achieve goals (e.g., office openings, deployments, network upgrades).
- Working knowledge of AI tools and services (e.g., Cursor, ChatGPT) for Engineers and Business Operations.
- Experience leading IT projects of small to medium size.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience supporting executives.
- Scripting in Python and/or PowerShell.
