Description:

Systems Electrical Engineer - Powering Autonomous Vehicles

Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Design Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments. This role will be central to the development of advanced electrical systems for next-generation sensing technologies used in industrial and automotive applications. You'll have the opportunity to shape designs from concept to production, working closely with experts across multiple engineering domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Design: Contribute to the architecture, simulation, and optimization of complex electrical systems supporting high-performance LIDAR platforms.
  • Circuit Development: Drive schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout, ensuring compliance with DFM principles while achieving signal integrity, power efficiency, and EMC/EMI robustness.
  • Prototype Bring-Up: Perform hands-on bring-up, debug, and validation of prototype hardware, diagnosing and resolving electrical design issues efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firmware, optics, mechanical, and software teams to ensure smooth integration and reliable system-level performance.
  • Verification & Validation: Author and execute comprehensive EVT test plans, ensuring hardware meets functional requirements, performance benchmarks, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience in hardware product development (industrial, automotive, robotics, or related fields).
  • Strong knowledge of high-speed digital and analog circuit design, with experience in signal integrity, power delivery, and noise suppression techniques.
  • Familiarity with hardware evaluation methods including test case development, performance monitoring, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
  • Proficiency in communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, MIPI, and Ethernet.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Cadence, Altium) from design through validation.
Preferred Experience
  • Background working in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of automotive qualification standards such as AEC-Q100/200.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python for test automation and data analysis.

This is an opportunity to make a direct impact on the development of cutting-edge sensing hardware. If you are driven by innovation and enjoy tackling challenging design problems, we'd like to hear from you.
