Responsibilities focus on leading a group of Territory Managers (TMs) to drive revenue through selling and coaching, managing district sales plans, and developing accounts to meet AOP and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a group of Territory Managers (TMs) in the selling of the Company's products and services, using product, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying products to their needs.
• Direct TMs against opportunities in closing, penetrating existing accounts, and developing new accounts within a specified district; provide coaching, mentoring, and training to TMs to achieve profitable sales and case growth.
• Lead a group of TMs to achieve Division sales, penetration, and churn reduction objectives; develop long and short range sales plans and coach TMs in creating effective action plans to achieve AOP and Company goals.
• Direct TMs toward high quality leads, assist in warming leads, open new accounts, reduce churn, and coordinate with the New Business Manager to support high potential accounts.
• Submit and administer annual street sales operating plan and operating budget; review expenses, credits, donations, and contracts; track performance against plan and identify gap closures.
• Leverage cross-functional roles to reduce TM administrative time and grow account penetration and new accounts.
• Coordinate product cuttings and demonstrations; develop sales and marketing strategies and conduct market research to determine customer needs.
• Communicate sales data to contribute to product/service planning; plan district sales meetings and events with Marketing and Merchandising.
• Understand and utilize Sales Foundations tools and processes to grow sales, generate revenue, and maintain customer service standards.
• Coach and direct TMs to top account penetration and high-quality lead acquisition, ensuring accountability for account development and goal attainment.
• Recruit, train, and mentor new hires and existing TMs; conduct field support and coaching to support TM development and training needs.
• Oversee TM performance, institute performance improvement or disciplinary actions as needed, and assist with organizational skills, account strategies, and territory planning.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and product developments; evaluate product mix to meet customer needs; establish industry contacts for prospective sales.
• Develop lists of potential customers, make targeted sales calls, and conduct periodic Customer Business Reviews to identify needs and relationship gaps.
• Assist in customer/delivery alignment and driver engagement; oversee communication and execution of Company policies within the sales department.
• Ensure the sales organization is appropriately staffed and managed to minimize turnover.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required.
• Related Experience: Minimum of five years of foodservice sales experience; minimum of two years of supervisory experience. Overnight travel may be required.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills; excellent oral and written communication; customer service and presentation abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Licenses: Valid driver's license required. DUI convictions within the last three years may disqualify candidacy. Other license history reviewed per company standards.

Compensation and EEO

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, location, and other factors. The expected base rate for this role is between $75,000 - $120,000.
